what do you think about this? i'm using a canon 50mm f1.8 and a front group lens from a exactar 135mm (an old manual lens, that was broken) reversed.

this is the minimum focussing distance without the reversed lens

It is a wonderful thing to be able to experiment with whatever you have laying around. Keep up the good work and let us see more.

You should be able to get in much closer than that, this was taken with my Pro1 as is.
