I have tried to match these birds with Sibley and the closet I can come are the ruffs. The first impulse was yellowlegs, but they have orange colored legs. This limits the choices.

Not meant to be a bump. I think these are yellowlegs anyway.

RickThanks Rick, Sibley says that Pectoral Sandpipers have a dark distinctly streaked breast and the bill is lighter in color.

Dennis: Great waders, fine composition !
In such good light, and slow objects, even with relatively slow 100-400, you may wish to check if your ISO setting is perhaps set too high. I see a fair amount of image grain on my monitor.
