Any one know how can i get PhotoRecord Gold?
Its look like Canon stop developing this software!
I looked at there web site and there is no way of buying
or support

If any one have this software i will be more then happy

I'm in the same boat about not being able to find the photorecord gold. I've already talked to several offices at Canon and they say the same thing. Photorecord Gold is no longer available. I see that the actual software was being sold from I guess an Australian firm or branch of Canon. This is too bad. I really love the limited Photorecord software that did come with the EX Browser and my G3 camera. If anyone can help out with finding the Photorecord Gold software I'd sure love to know about it.

This is really funny because I am looking for this too. I just started using Photorecord yesterday and I really wanted to export what I did to jpg but couldnt. So after finding out that the gold version can do that I went on a search. I also sent emails to Canon and they told me that they no longer sell this software. So I did an internet search and I got nothing. The only thing I could find was that it was bundled with a Canon i320 bubble jet printer. So I went all over town trying to find one and finally today I found it. Jokes on me all it had was Photorecord 1.6....hahahahha..anyways if I find anything else out on this software...which by the way I love...I will let you all know. Please do the same for me. I also emailed Canon again today to find out if any of their current products bundle the gold version together. No word yet.

Just an update:

I received a response from Canon over the weekend regarding PhotoRecord Gold and the bundling of the software with their products. There are no products being bundled with it. Oh Well.

looks like we all have the same problem, I also tried all of the above suggestions to no avail, I have 1.6 but need the update or full program, someone out there must have the update and may be willing to share it I hope.

From what I understand only I320 sold in Australia came with photorecord gold. Tiger Direct.com has them on sale for 49.00 the price of the software if it includes the gold verision I have not called them as of yet.

I know for sure that the I320 sold in the San Francisco Bay Area does not have Photorecord Gold. I bought one and found that out. Does the Australian version still come with Gold?

What happens when you try to get the software? Are you behind a firewall? I had a problem at work behind the firewall here and when I went home I got in no problem but I am using FTP software. I dont really know if I can email something that large. Its about 8mb's and I cant tell you for sure if it works because I havent even had the chance to do an install yet.

There seems a lot of interest in this product, from me too. Are they insane to stop not only developing but supplying the current release.

From the photo displayprint programs I've surveyed, nothing comes close. They could 'clean up' in this genre.

Has anyone experience even faintly similar programs. (I have Arcsoft Print Master, but one can't apply backgrounds and features are minimal.

you may download the PhotoRecord 2.0 version (update from 1.x) from the following site:

The site is unfortunatly in Japanese only, but at the bottom of the page there are two links (one FTP and one HTTP) where you may dowload the update exe. The update by itself is a multilingual version which use the same language as the installed PhotoRecord 1.x.

I'm afraid to download this, as I don't know what an RAR file is. If anyone is brave enough or clever enough to know and they have success let me know please.

BUT please don't blame me for passing it on if it is a virus or something! Do it at your own risk.
I'm amazed I had to trawl so far and into French to find someone willing to post this software. I only wish Canon new what a good thing they were onto and let us know why in God's name they abandond it.

Hello - I, too, love PhotoRecord Gold and I do have the software (which I have transferred to three computers over the years. I also recently found the original compressed file program from when I originally downloaded it. So, if anyone is interested in this file I would be willing to share it. It is in RAR format so you will need a program to decompress it (RAR is just a compression format like ZIP) and there is a free trial version on the internet just google RAR.
