I made this two pictures last night. I hope you can give me some good critique. Sorry I haven't got time to give more info about them.

Not suer what to say. I really liked the 2nd shot. About all that I might consider woudl be a crop of the 1st half inch of grey off the bottom. Not sure why.

Thank you Leighow, I was thinking the same thing: cropping the image and cut the bottom for a bit since it doesn't add anything to the picture.

On the second shot, I would like to see some type of framing in the foreground to give the photo a sense of perspective - maybe a tree trunc on the shore, a rock, a boat, whatever. And I agree that as it is, I would crop a bit off the bottom to give a more balanced shot.
The composition in the first one is not bad, but the colors in the sky are not all that interesting. Wait for a dramatic looking sky (at least with a few more clouds) and then shoot away!

Thanks a lot for your advice Craig.. I agree with you on the clouds thing, but I'm not frequently visiting those places and I can't just get some clouds in a clear sky. But it sure does add more to the picture! In the second one the bottom is a bit empty and I've cropped it a bit since there were no objects in the scenery when I took the shot. The pictures were taken in Holland (North of Holland) and the wheather isn't much offering most of the time. Or clear sky or cloudy. Anyway thank you very much for your advice I'm learning more and more here!
Bob.
