Well, I was able to catch a floor show with A Dozen Furies at Eisenbergs Skate Park in Plano, TX. The lighting was zip, so I decided to go with the black and white theme for this show because of the lack of lighting and the florescent lights just didn’t cut it. I used the flash on one of the picks. I used my canon 20d and the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS.
800-3200 ISO, florescent, TUNG, AWB, Flash
It was a full house of Skaters and Bmx'ers of all ages and they loved every minute of this set.
You can check the rest of the gallery and higher res picks at http://www.pbase.com/shabookie/adf_bnw
I have a few BMX picks at the end of the gallery.

These are wonderful! Not only essential band images but powerful photojournalism. I would have preferred them to be the same size since my mind wants to see them as a set. I like that lighting in the first, the energy in his hands and pose and the plumbing mixed in and the tops of the heads conveys a very unpretentious and intimate setting. In the second, those face and bodies outside the windows and biker looks all those facing us have along with the tattoos on the one guy are so earthy and human! Just damn nice images!

wow, thanks for those kind words.
The kids faces through out the show were awesome. You could just see it in all of the faces that they were having a blast. It made it that much more fun!
Yea, I see what you are saying about the size difference. That is why I was pointing people to the full shoot on my pbase site.

Nice shots! I like the first 'Marc' shot better then the one you posted here. The 'Joey' and 'Having Fun' shot are also very nice.

Very nice shots! You captured the spirit of the moment well. I really feel that that is important. Make the viewer feel like they were there.

I really like how you captured the crowd in these but seriously my favorites aren't ones that you posted here in the thread.

Wow!!!
I fell in love with your second shot. I think it's framing, energy, composition and lighting are perfect. this is definatley the type of art I would hang in my house. Young, fun and hip!
Great work!

Nice shots! I like the 1st shot for the pose and the chain link fence, different for an indoor show. The bass players neck is a little distracting.
I like this shot as well, especially the 2 looking through the window on the left.
