After seeing Eland's post about the pristine Australian air, I just had to add these two :)

Taken at Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia. A beautiful spot I highly recommend anyone visit.

(and yes, I know some may say they need a boat/bird/human, but I really just wanted a shot of the sunset :) )

First one's a little too blue for me, but the second one - wow!

Both are nice. I think I like the first more simply because it almost has a wide-angle look to it and makes it a bit more interesting. Plus you have those rocks on the left which add a great deal to the image. Perhaps a wider angle lens might improve on it. It would have been nice to have more of the sky colors from the second shot in the first, but there's not much you can do about that.

I like the composition of the first one much better than the second one, although the colors in the second are stunning!

Very fine photos, Rel.
I think what might be bothering Chuck & Patrick in the second shot
is the mid-line horizon. The danger with such a horizon
placement is that it tends to cut the picture in half.
Subconsciously the viewer's eye cannot settle on either sky or foreground
and this leads to a feeling of dissatisfaction and unease.
Personally I find the colours of sky and foreground very lovely
and in this case you have perhaps beaten the "Beware of midline horizons" rule.
................ and Rel, the air is certainly more pristine than it is in Port Kembla.
In truth my smoke pollution shot represents about
0.0000000000000000000000000000001 % of Australia.
Kindest regards. Nice to see you back Rel.

Great colors. Like #2 the best. Comments:
- #2 seems not totallyu in focus. Did you apply some sharpening?
- hange of perspective might help (next time). Try laying on the sand to get more foreground or tilt the camera upwards. In other words avoid the middle for the horizon.

You Aussies do take the prize for sunsets. Both of these are beautiful, and the advice on horizontals splitting the scene was a lesson for me too. I must remember that. I rarely get low to build a foreground in the lens. Both are great. I especially LOVE the red patch on the sand.
Take a bow.

Thank you everyone for your comments, and suggestions. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply - the joys of work :)
I agree about the horizon in the second shot, I didn't even think, I was so busy trying to get in the play of colour in the sky, and the mirror of the sky on the watery sand.... but aren't Australian skies fantastic!!! LOL
I can't wait for the opportunity to try again - I'll lie on the sand and see what I can come up with - hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks again everyone
