Don't sell this short, Martin. It is a very well executed photo with incredible detail and colour. I would have liked to see the ladybug a little further down into the frame, my personal taste only.

The lower half of your image is the whitest thus it draws viewer attention. I agree with the cropping out the lower half and maybe try to darken the background a little to draw attention to the bug.
