Hi Tom and welcome to the forum. I love your shots of the Jay and the Fox. I spend a lot of time a Formby - I live on the Wirral.

Hey, we are neighbours ;) Glad you liked the pics. Its an area I love to visit; the light can be very challenging at times, and produces great atmosphere.

Do you get over the wirral for your bird shooting? High tide at on the dee yesterday was spectacular - 5 short eared owl, 3 hen harriers, 3 merlin, 1 peregrine and countless waders.
Have a look at the deeestuary website if you don't already visit it.
I'll look forward to seeing some of your posts.

Damian, the Wirral is a place I really am looking forward to exploring. Did it quite a lot some years ago, but not for my photography. Ive had so many places suggested. Owls I love, in particular Short Earred and Little, so I must make an effort. Thanks for the welcome :)

Tom I can recommend lots of good places for photography on the Wirral - especially birds. When you are coming over let me know and I'll suggest some. The Wirral country park at Thurstason is a good place to start though.

That would be really cool, Damian. I visited Thurstaston about 14 years ago and saw great potential; but I wasnt doing any photography back then. Parkgate has been mentioned too; so believe me, I'll be picking your brains for some good recommendations. Much appreciated :)
