I'm new here but have been into photography for about 7 years now. I just started using digital and new at PS. Is there a plugin for PS or a program out there that I can blow up my images without ruining the resolution?

Thanks

Hi Danny, welcome :)
I could try this one: PhotoZoom Professional (http://www.benvista.com/)

Hi Danny,

I routinely print 16x20inch images from my 20D and believe they are excellent quality using a commerical house (www.whcc.com) and have done as large as 20x30 with great results. I crop them to the size I want printed at a 300DPI setting using Phosotshop.

Good luck,

Dennis

Extensis Pxl SmartScale works great.

In my opinion - and experience from a lot of testing - every image requires a different method of upscaling to get it to it's best. One method/program works greats for stuff like architecture, but not portraits or animals. Another works great on animals, but looks terrible on portraits. And on and on and on... Many methods/programs will look decent, a couple will look the best and it will be a close call.

From my viewpoint good sharpening will do more to make an image look good than upscaling technique/method/program. Pick Bicubic Sharper or Smoother, and spend your time on fine tuning the sharpening to the subject matter and print size.
