Congratulation...

When you shooting in the urban jungle, just watch the buildings and make sure not to tilt the lens up too much - otherwise the buildings will look go to fall over; which might be fun to look at 1st, but you'll get bored with those shoot very quick.

It has a very close MFD which can be fun for intentional distortion of faces but be aware of your distance if you don't want people with giant noses or size 23 shoes.

Too many people shoot reclining people with UWA lenses and it's really not very flattering to make them look like they stole Ronald McDonald's shoes. :lol:

And, f/4 doesn't sound like you can do much shallow DOF isolation but you can by taking advantage of how close you can get to a foreground element while shooting wide open and focusing really near.

Thanks! - after many many years - we finally pulled it off. Yes, I attended the handoff meeting. I actually work in the Engineering Business Unit at the Delivery Center so I was lucky enough to meet some of ANA's talented engineering leaders. I wish the weather was better as well - but it was a day of joy for a lot of people in WA. I'd love to see more shots if you still have some. :)

Huge difference between the two - one is more for Landscape's "wide Angle" and the other a walk around lens - you would probably need both.. I would probably think more about the 24-105 in comparison to the 24-70...

I agree, but considering it'd be on a crop body 7D (x1,6) it could be use for a walk around lens too i guess? And it is a lot lighter than the 24-70mm so easier to carry all day. I use it as a walk-around lens on a APS-C body and I like the lens a lot, but on different occasions I wish for more reach, IS, or 2.8. That's why for a while I've been considering getting the Sigma 17-50, Canon 15-85 or Canon 24-105.
