Too bad i was there without 5D or 1-series cameras, my 30d was great anyway, and i had 16-35L that time and 10-22, but how come i didn't get this angle of view, i have to check my Parisian photos again, i may find one different angle for this famous tower.
Congratulations, great work!!!
Thank you Tareq.
17-40 was 99% on my camera in Paris, i'm ultra wide addicted .

I notice that the majority of the shots in here are landscape related. How does this lens fair for portraits (I use that term loosely here, maybe people shots is a better term ), flower shots, and general family shooting? I am contemplating selling my Sigma 17-70 and picking this up for general use, paired with my 85 for true portraits, and my 70-200 for longer stuff.

It's a regular photo, no HDR. I used a Kenko CP with a Rebel XT. It was processed with a touch of sharpening in Silkypix(an excellent RAW converter). The scenery of Montana helps too.

great images in here, still torn between this lens and the 10-22
If you have a crop camera, the 10-22 provides excellent images. I'd mostly recommend the 17-40 to either those with a FF body or those who want a high quality walkaround lens on a crop. For landscapes on a crop it's hard to beat the EF-s 10-22

I recently had both for a comparison. If I shot indoors and urban, there's no question the 10-22 would be in my bag. But since I do mostly natural landscape in wide open spaces, the 17-40 would see far more use, and it does.

I took this lens to the Green River Festival on Friday. Unfortunately Mother Nature didn't cooperate so none of the balloons took off. It did however clear up enough to allow them to do a Tethered Ride and the "Glow" once it got dark.

OMG that is one of the hottest bug eyes I've seen in a long long time. Nicely done. I love the V7 wheels in gold. And to have projectors with them makes it perfect... Just how much of an STi is that anyway? (ie what's under the hood). Also, what color is it, white or silver? Either way those are my 2 favorite colors.
Nice shot and car though. I miss my bugeye (it was totaled, I now have an 04).

Why do you think the 10-22 is more suited to urban? When you say urban you do mean cityscape and such? Also why do you think 17-40 would hinder your urban shots?

for ubran shots, wouldn't it make sense to have as wide as possible. Everytime I go to the city it seems like you want to take it all in, next time I go to the city I'm bringing a fisheye and ultra-wide 17mm (on a FF body)

It's about 97+%
The only things that I really don't have from a V7 is the RHD, the actual V7 Seats (I have JDM Recaro's which were the factory options... only about 1-3 sets in the entire USA), Don't have JDM Exhaust system, Don't have the actual V7 Chassis harness but I do have working AVCS, I also aren't running V7 struts since I have coilovers. It's almost a complete replica.
It's white and I bought it as an auto back in 2002.

I bought this lens specifically for photographing some large buildings that my client helped build. It more than paid for itself. They ended up buying 20x30 prints of this and other buildings for their corporate offices.
Shot with a 5D at about 35mm
