Has anyone received an answer to what gets the "original" warranty card? The 1 Gig offer or the Extended Protection Plan.
I just received my D30 today and I am very impressed and pleased with the camera. My honey really loves the soft images. Thanks...

The 1 gig offer gets the original warrenty card. Then just after they send you the microdrive they send the original warrenty card back to you.
That should be spelled out plainly on the free gig form...
I got the microdrive after about 3 weeks. The warrenty card came 2 weeks after that.
BTW, you have to SIGN for the microdrive when it arrives, so someone whould be home.
Also, the fine print says that Canon isn't responsible if your form, etc. is lost by them unless it is sent certified mail (or something like that). So send it certified.
Good luck...

I sent the original to the 1GB offer and sent a copy to the extended warranty offer explaining where the original was and that I would send it in when the 1GB people sent it back.
I guess it will work.

I called Canon about this and they told me the rebate company is aware of the dual offer with microdrive and extended warrenty and to send a copy of the original warrenty to the microdrive rebate offer and original for the extended warrenty.
