Hi
Has anyone seen this around? The leather or thicker ones would propably be an overkill for me. I'm thinking of using these cloth lens bags with my lens then put the lens into my lowepro bag. Anyone doing this or is it a waste of money? Just an extra protection when I slip the lens into the camera bag.
Thanks
Pat

I'd like the same thing if you can find some.

I just make sure the space for the lenses in my bag provides padding all around them. If I need to stack a couple of lenses, I do it end-to-end and have front and rear caps on the lenses. I don't even use the padded lens cups that came with my Lowepro Stealth Reporter 650 bag. They take up too much space and don't do much of anything for me.

I'm with Skip here - I use the compartments (dividers) that came with my Domke bag. The only lens that doesn't fit in them is the 35 f/2, which goes nestled inside a neoprene "lens cover" I picked up for a buck or so and which sits inside the hood for the 100-400 (hood not on the lens). Makes for a very solid, secure bag where nothing's going to rattle around, although it's a bear to lift.

I have a pouch for every lens. The L lenses come with them, and for those that don't I like the Pelican neoprene pouches. They are inexpensive, and they cushion the lens very well.
I can't carry all of my lenses at one time, so I keep the lens and hood together in a pouch marked with which lens it is, and when I want one I grab it and stuff it into the bag I'm using. Since they're in the pouch I don't have to be delicate with them.
Have Fun,
