I really like the elegance and simplicity of the first shot and I like the 3rd shot a lot as well. However, I think I would like the third shot more without such strong shadows.

I also really like 1 and 3. Simple, but very effective. I also think a little less shadow's on 3 would look better.

What kit did you use?

Thanks guys, I agree the shot does look better without shadows or such strong ones.

These were taken with a 10D and a 17-40mm F4L, along with a 550ex

Really like the nice warm colours of the second shot.

Really like the texture of #2 makes me want to go to the beach. Dang! its snowing here thanks. :-)

The first one just makes you want to sit and stare at it. Reminds me of the simplicity of a japanese rock garden.

i love the second shot. very warm, earthy colors and great texture on the pebbles. beautiful!

Some good shots. I have to disagree with one of the above comments and say that the shadows add to the image in the third shot. The shadows establish the perspective of the shot.
