i've been practicing ... i loved his "pose" in this shot, but the background was far from attractive so i tried to salvage it. i know its different (and maybe not very good) but what do you think? c&c and edits welcome. thanks!

It's a wonderful picture. The eyes are highlighted just right. Background is fine. Nothing distracting around the central subject focus. Good pose. And he isn't staring into the camera!

thanks to everyone who replied. i know, "Big H" -- after 12 hours i was really beginning to wonder :o !!! sometimes the pics we love the most are not really all that good, so you never know! i appreciate the feedback.

Very nice shot. The soft blend of the subject into the BG adds to the presentation. The hot spot on the face is a bit distracting but it does grow on you. Nice job on the PP.
