I would like any and all critiques of this image. It was shot last weekend in the Florida Keys into the sun. It has been modified in PS7. Any PS7 suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I can "see" the image with the wonderful beaks of the birds, so to me it would be about line and form. But the out of focus (foreground?) hanging leaves just ruin it. You would either have to recompose and remake the image, or do some serious PS editing with the clone tool to rid the existing image of these nuisances. Otherwise the lit backs of the birds are way over-exposed, but a good attempt given the condtions I imagine.

Hi
This is an attractive image.
For me it fails somewhat because the birds are backlit.
One instinctively wants to see detail on the birds' heads
They are blacked out.
The overall design created by the birds and mainly the
beaks is very attractive and makes this image a keeper..
Frankly the hanging branches that Philip mentions didn't bother me.
If they are a bother, they could be removed in less than 20 minutes.
No, just the lack of detail on key areas of the birds spoils the image for me.
PS a small detail.
A thin border around an image finishes it off nicely.
PpS. Maybe a B&W or sepia toned image that emphasises
shape and design would work well.
Final point. Yours is a famous and uncommon surname, associated with
The Battle of Midway. Are you related to the admiral ?
