I think that too much of the image is out of focus and the portion that is in focus does not have enought impact to offset the other.

To increase the depth of field, you may want to shoot in Av mode. If the shutter speed reduces too much, you may need to use a flash or tripod.

I like this a lot. It reminds me of an idea I have going on for another photo.
I agree that the focus is not placed right. I would like to have seen either everything in focus (except the background) or just the seed. There is a fair amount of noise going on too that can be removed.

I agree... large photos are hard to look at when you have to keep scrolling around. Try resizing your photos before posting.

SHERMAN

You have a WONDERFUL gallery.

I like this shot. Typical of the G series. I made it smaller, rotated to allow crop of dead "top" area, sharpened, and lightened. See what you think !

Hi Leighow!

Thanks for the comments and Your digiwork. How did you do it ? Great work. When I make the picture smaler the "hair" gets "zigged" (maybe wrong word - hope you understand!).

I often use SharpControl to sharpened my pictures.

Could you explain what you ment by "rotated to allow crop of dead "top" area"

And to all the other comments:
Sorry about the big size, but with the help from Leighow it`s now fixed :)
