thanks Liza i agree, the difference just looking through the lens is literally night and day.....it seems kinda slow, but its been sitting for a long time do you think itll be fast enough once i change the batteries.

Get some 800 speed film just to be safe. I've never used that particular camera, so I'm not sure how to set it up.

from my experience using the minolta with the lens i mentioned for it at night, i think that the canon with the 50mm should do okay with 400iso at mci center, im just afraid it wont be fast enough, I have 5 rolls of the 400 left from the last event...lol, i went a little overboard...tee hee...i just had an idea to look up the camera and i found the manual in pdf....awesome.....ill read it over real quick...thanks so much for your help Liza....you always seem to be around when i need someone....:)

You should be able to "push" the film... i.e. Shoot at 800 or even 1600 iso then tell your processor to develop it appropriately.... Not a job for Walmart..

Yeah, push the film. And ensure you keep track of whether its been pushed one or two stops.

okay, are you talking about the button on the side of the lens that closes the apeture of the lens....sorry not too familiar.....i actually found it by accident...lol...so shoot dark and keep the speed at well, the highest on the dial is 1000....should i keep the asa at 400 since thats the film im using?....

change the asa to 800
do you know how to do that?
lift up the ring that has the shutter speeds and turn it and it should change the asa setting
