To post a couple non-Canon shots. See, in the span of a year I went from a Kodak Point and Shoot 2.2 Mpixel, to an Olympus Camedia C-50, to the 10d. Some images that I am proud of are from one of those two cameras. Less (no) control over the camera made me rely more on taking what was in front of me. Both are from last Septembers trip to Germany

The first was taken from the peak (2964m) of Zugspitze, looking into Austria.

I watched the cloud roll in for 10 minutes, then, when it hit the last ridge before Zugspitze, it exploded straight up, just as an ocean wave would as it crashed into a rock.

The next was taken in Ladenberg, a small town somewhat north of Stuttgart. It is the childhood home of my finace (pictured.) The cafe's special of the day was Onion Cake - Zwiebel Kuchen.

Why I like this image is that I get the sense that she is *presenting* the cafe. Think "Price is Right) model. I know that it is clearly a point and shoot image, but I pine over what I could have done if I had had the 10d last year!.

Thanks for looking, please comment.

Hi
Post what you like. No one knows or really cares.

You are at least honest enough to enquire.

I know of at least one VERY active member who
does not even own a Canon camera and never has.

your pictures are very nice radtech

that is a beautiful cloud and shadow formation
in the first picture
you must have got a great thrill when you saw it happen like that

you give a marvellous description,
as though the cloud crashed into the peak.
your watching for 10 minutes looks like it was well worth it . imagine missing that.
I mean what you actually saw
with or without the photograph
:)

in the second photograph,
nice atmosphere again

the 'flying saucer' over your lady friend's head is a little problem.
and maybe a slight crop left of the picture also to 'even things up'.....
kinda

anon and on ....again

:) :)

The first shot is fantastic, I live in the mountains and have never seen that.

Are you allowed? Whatever happened to the expression "share the Kodak moment?" What if you didn't post this because it was NOT from a 10D? What if you didn't take it because you didn't have a 10D and you knew you couldn't post it to the forum (DUMB)?

It is a great shot and who cares what camera you used? I have quite a few shots with cheaper cameras and even poloroids that elicit fond and beautiful memories and create wonderful comments from people who see them for the first time. Thanks so much for sharing this incredible shot. What a place to be!!!
