No I was shooting jpeg. I Only had a single 1Gb card for the whole weekend! I need to buy some more CF cards before I get hooked on RAW!

Yeah, this was a planned trip, as with the other 8 or so meet ups we've already done. ;)

I was just told that you recommended I join a canon club, after being asked if I knew what 'camera tossing' was. My reply was apprently identical to yours. "Yep - but I'd never throw my camera"

Pretty cool that she sent on the cell image of my XXDelta, though
Pretty geeky of me to take an image of m'boy (Little EOS) with the cell and forward it on...

Forsaken/Simon harassed me for at least 6 weeks to join..

Conclusion: Forsaken and yourself are equally to blame.



I'm here now, though, so there's no going back :mrgreen:

Forsaken, aka Tazdez, posted on another forum asking about buying a Camera, I suggested a 20D and told him about POTN.
He then pestered iKirst into joining POTN after she also got a Canon.

Hey Wazza, since I just gave you some grief, got some interesting news. Long story short, I may soon have a chance to experience photography in your corner of the world. The In-Laws are in OZ visiting family (originally from Greece). They called yesterday and said they are going to buy a home in Brisbane and spend 4 month stretches there. That might allow me to join you guys on one of your outings and learn how to shoot the Wazza Way. Must be unreal beautiful down there. They absolutely love it and it is their first time.

You do know Brisbane is a 3 hour, US$300 flight away... Well worth a weekend trip ;)

Aww c'mon. Flying rocks. I was meant to go to Chi-town and Vancouver this September, but my plans were thwarted for a wedding in Fiji this coming New Years...
