I have yet to see let alone get a shot of a Kestrel. Its too bad you can't see the head in the first shot as I like the pose. The second is quite nice...color, detail and the 3rd is classic. Nice!

I agree, Gary, too bad about the head in the first shot :( . But I like his rear end.
I just proccessed some more pics and found another one of this bird in flight that isn't too bad. I'm a total beginner at taking pics of birds, which means if I get it in the frame I'm happy.

Those aren't to bad. Much better than the ones I have been getting lately.
If the first one was shot a half a heart beat sooner and you would have nailed it.
What camera? Were you on one shot or AI servo?

I have a Rebel XT and shot in one shot.
