God, I havn't had this much fun since I had a B&W enlarger in the garage. The only thing missing is the smell of acetic acid.

In any event, I am still trying to get my legs on composition. Now I can create images that can crop to a resonable degree, and still be worth lookin at as 8x10s. That means that I dont have to rely entirely on what I THOUGHT looked good through the viewfinder.

Phoenix in portrait ...

Or in landscape...

Thanks again,

Nice cat and a very good pic. Portrait would be the way to go. Personally the background in landscape is a distraction, because the main focus is the cat.

The orange and red seem to catch my eye in the background. it seems a little busy.
Maybe in landscape B&W would be the way to go.

either way, great looking cat and good pic.

Definately portrait. Draws my eyes to the cats eyes.

I thought when you mentioned 'phoenix' I was going to see parts of arizona
but thats ok

the muggy just needs that little piece of green taken out ...by the right ear
and then I guess..... its a portrait :)

the other is a lovely shot of the cat also
only, the background is a little distracting

:)

best wishes
