My first post, be gentle.
I took this photo near Pilgrims Rest, South Africa.
It was quite a hike up the mountain to get the shot.
But I think it was worth it.
One thing how do I get rid of the ring around the sun

That's beautiful! I wouldn't worry about the ring around the sun, especially in this shot. When you shoot straight into the sun like this, its hard to avoid it. But I think in this case it works.

Yes it was, I had to sleep on there mountain and wait for sunrise.
That night it rained, lucky it cleared up

Why would you want to get rid of the ring around the sun?

Great shot. I agree with Dimitri... don't take the ring around the sun off. It really helps make this shot.

Like this very much. :D Would not change it.
Some pictures stir the imagination more than others. I can just picture the King of the Nazgul winging around the dark hill that comes in from the left, while other ringwraiths search through that mist on the valley floor for the ring bearer.
