Hi, I have been trying some different shots with my G5. I have been taking pictures in many different situations to get the feel of the camera. I have a huge amount to learn and would really like some thoughts on these photos. I can take criticism, so please let me know. They were taken near the end of the day with low light and all except for the boats were set on Auto. The boats were done manually and all were handheld.
Thank you much,

I really like the pics of the water.
So far very nice, but they seem a little underexposed. Photoshop levels can correct that of course. Your shots were all shot horizontally.
As a suggestion you might try viewing a scene vertically with your camera, and then view it horizontally. Who knows maybe the vertical pic might be better. All that does is give you a little more variety in shots instead of being forced to take everything horizontally.
good luck

Ryuwulf,
Thanks for the information. That really does make a lot of sense. I will always keep that in mind when I shoot. This is why I have put my photos on this thread, to hopefully gain insight to the many different ways of composing a picture. You have been a big help!
Thanks,
John
