S2IS - Focus area in supermacro

Can someone confirm that the AF frame cannot be moved in the Super macro mode is S2 ?

I don't have my camera with me to try it, but the manual does not say that is the case. It does say you can only move the AF frame in the P, Tv, Av, and M modes, however. Are you using another mode for your super macro shooting?

I just got my camera out and did it. So yes, you can.

Well it looks like in some cases it doesnt allow that. I have to figure out when exactly that happens. It also happened when i was trying to take a pic of the moon. When i press 'Set' the Green autofocus light blinks once and thats it. The AF area doesnt turn green. So it has to do with something where the camera is not able to focus or something like that.
