I took these a while back at a Pets Day Out we had locally...I think they show all the kinds of roles dogs play :)

Thanks :)
Photodawg - pretty much use the Canon 100-300 for everything...I also think I got an extra good copy sometimes :)

I too just love the thrid one - lovely shots. Also had a look at your gallery, great shots there too. I like the pic of the Rottweiler, great DOF, what is the device fitted to his collar?

Thanks a lot :)
The Rottie is wearing an E-Collar I think - for training purposes. Not quite sure, but I presume so. They were taken at a dog forum gathering :)

Fantastic pics Tess. Don't know how you could improve on any of these unless one of these pics was of my dog!

Tess320,
Wondering which lense you use the most for photographing dogs. I am looking for a lens that would be great for that. I have a canon digital slr xt rebel. Just looking for some suggestion.
Thanks,
KM

This thread is over 2.5 years old and Tess hasn't been here in over a year. You're not likely to get an answer.
I've moved this to Pet talk since there are no longer any images. You may get some input on your question from someone else here.

KMIndoors or out? I use the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 IS indoors. Outdoors, mostly the 70-200, sometimes the 100-400. That's on APS-C, APS-H or full frame. Usually indoors I'll put the 24-70 on the smaller crop body and the 70-200 on the larger crop or FF body. There's less gap in coverage that way.

I was unable to open the pictures you posted here, but I just went to your site, and I want you to know that your work is among the most inspiring I have ever seen.
