LCD Screen white completely!?

Hello, I recently bought a Canon PowerShot A400 Digital Camera, and basically the lens had to be repaired since fine sand got in it and so they were repaired, one week later when it was returned back to me i used it a couple of times.. left it in my pocket for a while and then when i switch it on now the LCD screen that shows the images, videos, etc is completely white like its crashed for no reason..

What could this be... can anyone offer some technical help? If not can you lead me to a forum that i can find help...

If the ribbon cable that runs from the lcd to the circuit board is not fully pushed in you will get a white screen. I did this the first time i repaired my lcd, perhaps this is the problem. You can visit photos of my lcd replacement for a ixus 700 , it may help
