I have been trying to get the sun as it sets but its always blown out. What seetings should I be looking at?

Av=16 TV=1000 ISO=100

You souldn`t be looking at settings only,you should be looking for a set of filters too.
There is a huge diference between the ground and the sky.

Can be done in photoshop aswell if your shooting Digital.

You can take two exposures - one for the foreground and one for the sky and combine them etc. But ND grads do save a lot of hassle e.g.:

I would try and get it right in the field,the PS is for fine adjustments not for creating photographs,the photographs are taken on the spot.
Lets don`t forget the beauty of photography.

Got a set of ND filters now to learn how and when to use them.

Need to look at photoshop a bit more.

Not so much ND filters but, graduated ND filters. Also if you wait for the sun to drop more, the sky will not be so bright and have less of a chance for the light blowing out, also if you wait for the sun to go down a little more, you might have more definition in the trees. BTW i really like how you got the land at an angle in the shot, makes for a dramatic composition
