Well the time has come for me to ask for some critique.
What do you think of this shot (sorry it is a link, embedding doesn't work for me) and what I could have done to improve it (both in PS and when taking the shot)

Thanks in advance

I like this photo Richard. The DOF and composition are excellent as is the light and colour.
A very well done image.

Richard,
I really like your landscape. All of the good photo elements are there, makes you want to be there !
Very nicely done.

I love Wales, its castles, coastline, and scenery.
I think that I would lighten this with curves -- just a bit and until that outer blue chevron of wind/water (top right) stands out as part of the surface pattern. Then I would flip it horizontally to have the jagged racks "point" out the craggy shoreline.
My own seacoast shots of Wales are on fujifilm, and (without looking) were somewhat similar. I classify this image as a trip shot.

Thanks for your input guys :) I appreciate your words.
Basically it is a trip shot, one that came out fairly well. I will have to admit I was thinking a lot less about the photograph that I should have been when I did press the shutter. I suppose the fact I hade just walked a long way along the pembrokeshire coast path in near midday sun didn't help. Doh!
I tried landscape format, and although the image looked ok, my lens wasn't wide enough to capture the surf and the clifftop in the frame. Shame, as you said that would have been better.
I will have a play with the curves once I have re-calibrated my monitor, thanks for that.
I totally missed the flowers, I mst learn to open my eyes more to things that would make a landscape stand out.
THanks again

Richard
I might have cropped off half an inch of sky is all.
An excellent photo with a lot of mood.

Richard [the sane?...love your id], I think you did a good job capturing the drama of the coastline. I live near a dramtic coastline [Oregon], and I find my coastal photos are a bit...I dunno...anemic, I guess? You seemingly have captured the beauty of that area.

Its cool, the only thing I don't like about landscapes in general is that I only look at them for a few seconds. After that I'm on tho the next.
