Planted lots of plants this spring to attract Butterflys and Hummingbirds. So far they are working for the Butterflys, waiting on the birds.

This is quite typical of what the G series can do on macro if a butterfly sits for a while.

As you well know the lighting -- while flat -- was insufficient to reveal details of the insect's body. AS well, the daisy seems to be old or low in color. On the other hand, the "red" tries to fight off these shortcomings.. but in the end fails.

So the photographer and the camera are up to the task.. but in this case the opportiunity did not fully develop.

At least that is the way I see it. Hows does that hit you ?

Tim it is a very nice shot. Not much wrong with it, looks like you could sharpen it a little.

best regards
Martin.

A tough assignment photographing black and white as
your main subjects in the same image.

Wedding photographers face this dilemma all the time.

You have done very well with this difficult subject.

Maybe we'll see your hummingbirds soon.

Kind regards
