View Full Version : Photoshop 6 + D490.. Worth upgrading?

I currently own an Olympus D-490 and Photoshop 6. I am fairly new to photography and to Photoshop, and I can afford to up-grade.... But is it worth it at the moment?

Most of my shots at the moment are outdoors with some indoor animal/pet shots.

Should I buy a camera with a higher megapixel rating(currently 2.1), and should I go for Photoshop 7 or 8?

Look .. for the moment buy the better camera.

When you are a whiz at PS 6, and missing some feature in 7 go for it. But your priority (depending on how deep your pockets are) should be camera. You will appreciate the added cropping that can be done.

Okay, looks like a new camera then!

I think that your right about PS6, I cant see me mastering it for a long while yet...

PS6 has many many books and on line tutorials. I have upgraded to PS7 and find no difference between PS6 and PS7
PS7 still does not support 10D either
