Something familiar, something peculiar! Something for everyone! A comedy tonight! This classic 1962 musical farce was recently produced at a local theatre, and Becky and I were there (for a few rehearsals, anyway)!

My favorite line: "If I've told you once, I've told you a hundred times; do not fan the girls when they're wet! But you'll never learn, you'll be a eunuch all your life."

Hysterium was played by a local professional actor who sometimes donates his time for community theatre. He's done this role several times. The woman who played Domina was also one of the standouts. Together, they were hilarious! Becky took this first shot.

This director likes to "double cast" as many roles as possible, which is a really stupid way to do theatre. Hero and Philia (among others) were played by different people on different nights. Here's one couple,

... and the other.

"The House of Marcus Lycus" was an emporium of female slaves. Here's an offering of what he had for sale:

Miles Gloriosus, a captain in the Roman Army, was a bit miffed that the virgin he had bought and paid for was missing! This is one of Becky's shots.

I think I'll quit here. :D
There's a bunch more on our website! (http://performancephoto.us/)

Thanks, Dan.

I was using the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 on my 20D, wide-open at ISO 3200. This was our first theatre gig since I got the 20D, and being able to go to ISO 3200 really gave me the shutter speed I needed to get rid of almost all of the camera shake. The 20D seems to focus better in that environment, too.

Becky was using the 50mm F1.4 on her 300D (the first and last of the group above).
