I just realized that maybe I should have posted these elsewhere. But I thought that since they were taken with the S2IS, that this was right. Sorry.

Wow - I've never seen that much snow in my life :)

The shot of the trees and the side of your house is my favourite.

That's why we moved to Florida back in 1960 from Kansas. But it is beautiful. Hope it does not cause any hardships. Thanks for sharing current happenings with us!!

At my house, there is about 20". My truck is stuck and I am going nowhere. I am just glad we still have electric. Although it went out briefly twice.

Great shots! I like your house too. How far are you from the fair grounds in York? We go down there every April for the largescale train shows...

Jon.

I live about 40 minutes from the fair grounds. York County is a big place!

A shot from central NJ, we have about 18 inches....

As long as we're talkin' snow... have you snowthrower users noticed anything odd about this particular snow? It was the most difficult storm clean-up I've had in 10 years of using a thrower! It just didn't break up, and stuck to the auger and chute like crazy! Several neighbors were finding the same thing today, and I heard of reports from northern MD saying the same thing.

Stefan, it looks like you got quite a bit more snow than we did 60 miles east... but it's a little hard to tell, because I have some areas where all but a foot of the snow blew away, and others where it drifted 3+ feet deep over my yard and deck. Sure brought the birds out to the feeders, however... including one very P.O.'d robin!

Ross,

Looks like we're not too far from each other. Yes, this was the worst snow for clean up. Kept clogging and packing inside the blower. I use to plow and can't remember a snow this bad for blowing. Gonna be a mess for awhile.

I don't know why, but I find it oddly humerous that the broom on the snowy picture is upside-down, but it's rightside-up in the non snowy pic. Is the garbage can missing, or is it just buried? lol

That is a lot of snow!! The firewood kind of makes the picture for me. Not sure why.

Well, truth be told, the before picture wasn't taken immediately before the snow storm. Probably about a week earlier. I noticed the broom pointing down during the middle of the week and remembered the salesman saying to store it upsidedown for it to last. So I turned it around. I also noticed that when I was comparing. And the garbage cans change location all time - again, it was about a week earlier. And if you look real carefully, there are more differences. It could be a game :)

Neat before and after shots! We got about 14 inches of snow and the dogs loved playing in it. Can't believe it will all be melted come Thursday.

Wow - that's snow! You can keep it your side of the pond! So far we have about 1in. all winter near Cambridge England.

Thanks Stacie! I checked out your portfolio and I especially like the 2nd one in the locations folder. Can you tell me about that? They look like they are running but they are statues. And the splashing water??

Ohhh I love your log cabin!!! We were lucky with this storm! WE only got about 6"! They said we may get 24" but the wind didn't bring it inland enough.

I love the deck chairs and table, very funny shot!

Nice place, it looks very cozy. But hey, whats up with those Giant marshmallows? You wouldn't be fixing smores and not invite us, huh?

Alright so everyone else is posting pictures so I guess I'll add. I don't have but a very small 5" tripod with little bendy legs hardly worthy, so I decided to up the ISO to 400, drop it down to a 1/4 shutter speed and wide open aperture f2.8 I still don't know how I managed to get it this sharp, but I did.

Nothing special but here's are 4-5" worth...I live in Bridgewater, VA which is like 5 miles from Harrisonburg, VA if you guys are familar with that area.

Thanks! Yeah, I thought the deck furniture was pretty funny too. Plus it gives a good idea of depth. Nice shot Chad. MMMmmmm... Smores. A bit watery on the finish :)

Beautiful photos. Love those nice big Ice Cream Cones on your deck :) This would make a great cool Desktop when it's 80f+ in the summer.

Yeah, I heard you guys got a lot more up in Northern Virginia. Wish we could've had some more we haven't even had a winter really.
