Guys,

I have been really struggling with getting my pics to the level of "sharpness" that I see here on the forum. I typically like to shoot lowlight stuff. I have purchased all my gear in order to do some photo shoots for some musicians that are friends. I will need to do shoots in bars and such.

This was take with the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 on my 20D.

Here is a pic I took yesterday morning. I did use a tripod, don't recall all the settings but I think I had it in TV mode. I did have a very slow shutter speed.

I do not have PS yet so I used Microsoft picture editor to resize and "autocorrect".

I'd love some feedback!

I can tell the pic is not straight, I don't have a way to straighten it until I get PS.

colors are very nice, and light is good. I think you are using to much compression when saving the jpeg, that might be why its not so sharp.
Photoshop elements 2 comes bundled with your 20D and its alot better than Microsoft picture editor

Very nice for the PP program you have. As you said, it isn't straight, but this can be easily corrected in PS when you get it. Welcome to the forum!

By the way, you can download RawShooters Essentials here http://www.pixmantec.com/. It is a very useful and fast to use if you shoot in RAW format, and it's free.

So when you guys pull the pics from your CF Card do you do this with PS?

I can't get the PS Elements 2.0 to load, it gets to 99% complete and then just stops? Any known issues?

OK, I got elements to work. Now how do I get the size of the image to something less than 1024KB? I'd like to post the pic again.

great try ! For me, the most difficult is not to have the right faming, but the right light and colors. You've succeded in that second point. I still have troubles with my night shots, because of public lights in Paris. They are organge and it's awfull !
Even with a EOS 300D which has a good default white balance.

Go here and scroll down a little and download the "Image Resizer", it's a nifty little tool that will be an option when you right click on a picture. Very simple to use. While your there get the "Raw Image Viewer - Thumbnail" thingy too.
