I have written two simple tools that may be helpful when managing CRW files on Max OS X. Both tools deal with embedded jpeg preview images, not the real raw data.
CRW Viewer
CRW Viewer is a simple image viewer that allows one to zoom in/out and rotate the image. It can create a thumbnail icon for the currently open file, and extract the JPEG preview image into a separate file.
CRW Processor
Despite its quite ambitious name, all this program can do is to batch-process CRW and other image files, generating thumbnail icons for them and extracting preview images (for CRW only).
I am not actively supporting these programs, but I hope that some people might find them useful. Both binaries and source code are available free of charge at http://www.gleyzer.com/osx/crwtools.html
