Playing with light

Hi all,

I was bored today (what with the snow storm and everything), so I decided to play around with some antiques I had around the house (bible, glasses, desk and lamp - yes I did light the antique :)). Here are some of the results. C&C welcome. Hope you enjoy.

#1 - Done only with ambient light from lit lamp.

Well done Colin. Both are nice, but I really like the first one. The lighting and tone are perfect for the subject.

Wow, you know what the first one really reminds me. Ok, laugh, but it reminds me of a room in one of those old hotel/saloon westerns. :D

Thats a really fun shot, I love it. Great work, the second is nice as well, just not as monumental as the first.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I think I might need to play around with the first one though, to make it "pop" more. I seem to take my most creative pics when I'm bored lol
