Not good pictures at all, had an awfull day in all fairness with the came, got home to a major dissapointment lol :o
anyhow, got a couple of interesting ones from the speech House hairpin, which took more than enough drivers by surprise, the marshall moved his car 3+ times through fear of it getting hit...
Whoops, slightly to far...

Looks like you had plenty of action Dan and if you were next to the gate where Hunter went off, I'll bet there was a mad South African hanging about in the trees somewhere :D:rolleyes:
Cheers

Was that you in the trees lol?
Yes, was on the hairpin where alot were going off, and some nutter in the trees lol
The marshall moved his car after 3 almost hit him, was very funny wathing him walk back to his Subaru, move it back a bit, then another car comes through and almost ploughs into him, then he moves back a bit further...

No not me  but a good friend of mine Geoff Mayes, I've seen his shot of Hugh Hunter and Scott Martin crashing through the gate from an elevated view point;)

Excellent,
I saw your friend over on stage 3/6 also, literally on the track through a hairpin following the car lol
Must have had 4 shots per car gonig through, 2 foot from his wing ;)
Looks a cracking fella though, well into his photography and rallying.
Any chance you could get the elevated pic from him?

Did the Yellow Escort whack the remains of the gate coming back on stage, as the windscreen looks OK in your second shot but was smashed to hell by the time it reached us ?

Here's my set from the day http://www.flickr.com/photos/huw1000/sets/72057594063287791/
I think I found a good spot with a few cars taking a bad line, car 51 spinning out & then getting stuck on the edge of a bank, the rear wheel drived cars storming out the bend with the backs sliding all over the place up the hill.
Great weather for the most part and a fun day of spectating. Shame I got lost many times on the drive over and didn't get there as early as I'd liked to

I think so yes Brands, on my second shot he comes back through the fence, whacks the last piece off into a group of 3 photographers...
The Corsa and Pug 106 that I've seen smashed up on here were done before they reached us...I'm assuming they either got caught up in the 1hr long hold up or were the cause of it.
