I had my first shoot with a local band last night for the website I'm working for. The lighting wasn't real good so I found myself shooting wide open almost the whole night. The sharpness isn't the best, but I guess that's part of life in these conditions. All photos were shot on a Canon Rebel XT and a 50mm F1.4. Most of the pictures have no post edit except for my watermark (the border). Feedback and criticism is welcome, as I have another shoot coming up next week.

The 50mm is very soft wide open, but i really like the effect and consider it a feature of this lense.
Nice shots, the red hue lets you really feel the atmosphere :)

I like these shots. You can almost feel the MOOD...... I really need to try one of these low light lenses like the 1.8 and 1.4.......

Being a musician myself I like the close up instrument shots.
Good job

On the first shot, the microphone is *really* interfering with the face, just as the guitar is in the third. I'ld skip those. The close ups (third post) are very nice, other shots as well. Most do look a bit dark though.
