Well as many of you are now aware a group of us spent our Saturday meeting Tim, then heading to the annual lantern festival.
I was feeling really uninspired photographically speaking so I thought I would try something new :D
Camera tossing, basically setting the shutter to a low speed and swinging the camera around on its strap (hold really tight!!!). This is a "technique" for night though.
My first two attempts few with my 50mm, as it was nice and light and didn't have any zoom that would move "in flight", here they are two best ones from that:

Enough to get the idea, but not too fantastic. I also was a little concerned about the G-Forces I was subjecting my 20D too, so I changed my technique, and attached the 70-200 f/2.8  but I ceased the tossing bit (phew!).
Instead I picked a well lit subject and the slow shutter and waved the camera around in random motions at the subject. The following shot is the best example of that, where I did some large movements at first, followed by some smaller tighter movements, this one I like!

So there are my first attempts, now everyone else go out and try :D
