I took this and one other at the zoo in San Diego. I just love this picture but don't know how to make it really pop.

I want one, he's cute! Hope my cat, Chloe, didn't hear that

Here I made an attempt at correcting it a bit

Unsharp mask
A litte saturation
some contrast
I also tried bringing out the highlights and midtones a bit. Hope ya like it!

Problem is the eye catching leaves from the flash for one thing.

Interesting to see one of our national symbosl on the other side of the Pacific. I have Koala shots too. I have a Koala Fight Club video as well somewhere. It is rare, but they can get very energetic and ferocious for about 45 seconds at a time... once or twice in their life to establish the pecking order thing. If they do ever fight/leap, its over quick and then its time for... more sleep. They average 16 hrs a day napping. The leaves supply the moisture -they don't go down to rivers or dams or anything to drink; ie, they stay in the trees and sleep and eat and thats about it.

I saw this at the San Diego zoo. Now I would love to see animals have more room to be free, but I also love being able to know I will see the animal. When I was little Nickelodion had a show on with Koalas and I fell in love with them. I have loved them for a long time so I was very happy to see them at the zoo. They are so cuddle looking and I would love to have my own, but I knwo I can't.

Thanks for the edit, I really like it. I will try it on the large image later from home. Thanks

Cuddley. They are likely to pee or poop on you due to stress when they are handled. It's often amusing to see celebrities handle them just to hand them back after being pee'd on :)

I was lucky enough to get to hold one at Dream World a few years back. But only because a friends mum works in the Koala Nursery. Yes it pooped on me but pee'd on my friends daughter after she laughed at me :)
