I want to get rid of Zoombrowser. If I uninstall the program what will happen to my photos. Are there any precautions I should take besides backing up my photos to cd. What is the correct procedure to get rid of Zoombrowser. Please help. the program crashed on me and I got pretty scared. I was able to retrieve the photos but I dont want to go through that again. From now on I am going to use a simple card reader and drop the photos into a folder. I may not use a browser again.

My non-expert advice is to leave the program on your computer. Download Breeze Browser or YARC. (Both of these have been discussed in full on this forum) Use this program for your conversions.
If you must take it off, then there is a Uninstall selection under "Canon Utilities"
I have had the DOOMbrowser on my computer for 2 years gathering dust. It has not once started up on its own and caused any problems. :)
