Got a candlelight wedding Friday night, got a 24-70L on the way to deal with it. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Man that lens costs a boat load.

Be careful of the lens hood collar. Mine popped loose and I had to send it back to Canon for a month. That meant I wasn't able to take it to Alaska with me and I did miss it. It just slipped forward and off its moorings and the lens hood was then loose, could turn freely and would slide up and down the lens barrel when it was zoomed out.

Other than that, I love the lens and it's the sharpest of my three L lenses so far. I hope mine was just a fluke.
