I'm a 10D newbie but already notice it's a great camera.
However i have a problem with my workflow in PS 7.0
I am trying to work as explaned in the Luminous-Landscape tutorial digital workflow, but when i open my TIFF ( 16 bit color)pictures in PS i am unable to open in the layers menu the option New Layer (everything is grey) My layers palette gives a locked symbol.
What do i do wrong? And where do i find help on the net?
Hope anyone has an answer for me
Thanks in advance
Ton

Polyman,
try double clicking on the locked layer in the layers box. You will see an EYE-PAINT BRUSH- and then the background. Double click on the background. This is all in the layer options box on the right. A new layer box should open up. It has NAME-COLOR-MODE. Dont change anything-click on ok and that should unlock your layer. any more questions just post.

I believe you are going to have to convert to 8 bit to work in layers... yep just checked it out.
go to image menu > mode> ... check 8 bit and do all the work you want to in layers...
Hope this is the answer you are looking for.
Peace
Eric
Ps : there are many good PS tutorials ... just run a google on.."PS tutorials "

Sorry but it doesn't work in my situation, there isn't a reaction to doubleclicking at all at the locked layer.
Do you have any other suggestions maybe?
