24-105 quick shot

Just a quick shot using the 24-105 and a White Lighting strobe
set at f4 and 1/60 and iso 100

here is the full shot reduced for viewing

and here is a 100% crop of that image, the lens pretty sharp even at f4
sorry it's not a more interesting photo, no sooner than I received the lens
I sent the camera out for some calibration before the warranty was up
so I didn't get a chance to do much shooting with it :( the 20D was showing
problems focusing on the wide end of some of the lenses I've had and wanted
that checked out...

I think this will be a great lens for a travel lens, a do all in one type of deal.
albeit a bit slow at f4, the IS function helps a great deal on some types of
photos but not of course on action type shots.

No doubt you've got a sharp copy....I've had mine for a couple of months now and echo your comments. Its a great lens that you will enjoy greatly.

Thanks Scott, I dug out my old EOS 620 film body and have a roll of 400 in it right now
but man, going back to film after a couple years of digital is traumatic! :)
Talk about limitations! I think I'll be just doing this one roll and that'll be it
had to go to a basketball game and even with my 85 f1.8 it was still too dark inside!
Can't wait to get my camera back!

at f4, lens was at 32mm iso was at 800 in ambient light
