Hi, to embed the image you must use the square brackets with img at the start and at the end of the url for your image exactly as I have done.

Thanks for the positive comments. Any comments on how to improve the shot. I am fairly new to digital photography and am always looking for ways to improve my photos.

I think it needs to be lightened up a bit, it seems dingy - if that makes sense. I tried to pull it off and do that but PS couldn't open it - wrong kind of file it says. I notice there is no file extension?

Great shot, but think it's a little dark. Quick fix, while leaving the background as is and making sure the highlights are not over blown:

I like how this looks lightened up. Did you do this in PS?.
What steps did you use? Thanks for taking the time to help with this.

Gib, I assumed that you wanted to leave the background as dark as it was. This made it easy:
- copy the layer
- extract the flower
- play around with curves and levels to brighten the flower (careful that the high light retain detail).

That's a lot of steps for something that can be done so much more easily!
Play with levels and curves. Take a snapshot - in the history pallet. Undo levels. Use history brush to add back the levels to the areas that you want lightened. Don't touch the background!
Using snapshot and the history brush in PS is very empowering. You can adjust different areas of the image with different opacities of the brush to achieve the affect you want.
I probably use that method the most when I am toning pictures for day to day use in the newspaper that I work for.
