the only problem with asuka is that they don't do leather

Hi! I'm just looking at doing my first album, too. I really like the "cache" album at artleather.com. Looks like traditional albums on the outside, but coffee table book on the inside.

Hope that helps.

For what it's worth... Shutterfly has decent work too. Nice little layout function for pages via web interface. I've been getting very good responses from all who've handled the one I did as a draft. They also have options available if you decide to run with it to remove all shutterfly branding from the finished product. Sharedink.com apparently has a nice product going as well. Apparently the layout is done in a format similar to that of Asukabook. Can't speak on the finished product, as I have yet to complete my sample order. But I've heard great things about Asukabook. They're prices are a bit more (though marketed more at the wedding photog). Just my several cents from what I've come up with.

Graphi studio (can't find a link)

For the absolute best quality http://www.sarloalbums.com/, I've done side by side comparisons with everyone else, they are beautifully engineered.

All of those are aimed at pro's.

The photobooks you can get from Photobox, Klick, Spielman etc aren't a patch quality wise, but may be good enough for your needs.

www.digistyle.biz are in the UK - we have a sample book from them, quality is good (i.e. paper, print and binding), but they're not a cheap option.

[oops, just noticed it's another resurrected thread, so OP was answered way back]

For low budget clients I second shutterfly. They look decent, the material is decent and they are very affordable... but wouldnt be something I would give clients with extremely high expectation that dont mind spending a little more to have the best.

Graphi studio (can't find a link)

We offer these as an option to our couples and we have sold one up front for one our bookings for next year and I cant wait to see what a finished book looks like with our photos in it !

They arent cheap but its one of the few providers that I have seen and been blown away with the look of the product just from the brochures. By registering with them we should recieve a sample book in time but they take quite a while to arrive apprently so I still havent handled anything apart from their brochure and the little sample book with different page materials in it, but even that was like, "wow".

One of the things that appeals to me about Graphistudio is that they can do the layout for you if you just want to provide the finished photos and then theres a PDF approval process that makes sure the B&G get exactly what they want before the finished book arrives.

Hoping to get a sample book with our photos in it at some point next year, great way to show our portfolio off imo.

I've seen the finished products and am considering getting an into pack. As I said in my previous post, Tony Sarlo's albums are awesome in comparison, I can't compare on price because I haven't got pricing info from Graphi studio.

You should really get to Focus on Imaging in February to see lots of suppliers side by side.
