NYC Statue of Liberty advice needed

Hello,
If there are any NYC photo experts out there, I can use some advice.

I am interested in photographing the Statue of Liberty either at dawn or dusk (presumably by boat). If I want the face to be lit (sun lights the face), should I tour the status in the morning or at dusk? I am unfamiliar with the statue's orientation.

Also, any recommended tour operators?

Since you haven't received any response yet from someone with more knowledge, let me tell you what little I know from visiting the "Lady" a couple of times.

First, unless you get a private charter boat (to take you close to the Statue), I don't think you'll be able to get to see her at dusk or dawn. I don't think Liberty Island (where the Statue of Liberty is) is open to visitors until 9:00 AM or later and I think they close by 6:00 PM (summer hours). There are ferries that take visitors to Ellis Island and Liberty Island from either New Jersey's Liberty State Park or NYC's Battery Park.

As far as the lighting is concerned I seemed to recall the "Lady" facing Southwardly so the sun may always be on some part of her face although I won't swear by it.

Thanks for the tips. Since the face is always lit, I think I will try a paid tour at sundown, and the free Staten Island ferry at dawn.
