There's a grocery store chain here in Canada (Loblaws) that will do digital prints for 29 cents a print (that's Canadian).
Let me tell ya, you get your money's worth. Now I'm not usually overly critical for everyday prints but I decided to take one of my better macro shots of a tiger lily. What a dreadful print! Just for fun, I for the first time ever, decided to print an image off my el-cheapo canon i320 printer on photo paper, let me tell ya the difference was unbelievable. I was very impressed at how vibrant the colour was. Hard to believe isn't it!
The other gripe I have that others may have noticed from going to one of these quicky places is that all my images are printed severly (sp?) cropped. Which makes no sense to me because the ccd ratio is 3:2 so obviously you should be the full 4x6 print.
Anyways, just a little vent. Which also supports the reasons behind a quality commercial printer who will charge more.
