This has always been a pain for me on my G5, but seems to have gotten worse as time has progressed.
The grasping edge on the CompactFlash cards faces the slot door and I have to bend it back a bit to get a grip (and I don't have fat fingers at all).
I'm using Kingston cards and wondering whether I should take this in under the extended warranty before I end up breaking the door or just put a bit of lithium grease on the sides of my cards...

Certainly a problem.. Best to Grow a nail a bit longer for extraction.

Hmmm...... The G6 has a little rectangular button you push in and it pops the card out. G5 doesn't have that?

It has the little grey button, but it only pushes the card out enough to show that it is not for decoration.
I think I may well take Terrys advice and grow a bosun's knife.

Yeah, I have fairly small hands for a guy and trying to get the CF card out of my Pro1 is kind of a pain. Even after pushing the "eject" button it hardly pushes the card far enough out to do more than just try and snag it with a fingernail, or try and grab it with just the tips of your fingers.
Dont get me wrong, its not HORRIBLE, but its certainly not the easiest thing to do either. Not like the battery where you hit the release and the thing nearly falls out of the camera. ;)

I used to have a simular issue with a Memory Stick Floppy adaptor (yuck i will go and wash my mouth out with soap), it would not eject far enough to remove, so I put a piece of tape on the end and folded it back on itself to stop it being sticky, this gave me somthing to grap and pull on. Something like that should still fit behind the door of a G3.

Buy something other than Kingston cards. My PNY, and Lexar and SanDisk flash cards come out very easily. My guess is that Kingston is a bit oversize and that's the real problem.

Could be that specific card or the camera, I have a G3 which I have used the standard Kingston "orange" cards and Elite Pro "Blue" cards in with no issues.
It would still be a good idea to try a different brand to rule the camera out of in.

Like I said, its not "terrible", but I have the same issue with all 3 Sandisk UltraII cards I have.

Well if it has enough of a ridge on it you might be able to use a mini car fuse puller.

Seems strange to me. My Pro1 is easy. You just push the button and it pops out. Easy as can be. Maybe your eject button is defective or broken.
