do we need optical Filters?

forgive my ignorance, but is there still a need to use optical filters with the d30? i'm under the impression that photoshop can create any of the desired effects that optical filters can.

It seems to me its a matter of effort. How much effort is it to screw on a polarizing filter and turn it a bit before taking a picture? Is there some command in PS that can do the same thing? If you have to define each reflection to Photoshop and and work on them separately, then there is no contest regarding which is easier...
